Report: Moldovan president says mulls lower gas prices with Putin
CHISINAU, Nov 7 (PRIME) -- Moldovan President Igor Dodon has discussed a possible 25–30% reduction of prices for gas with Russian President Vladimir Putin and gas giant Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, Dodon said in a broadcast of the NTV Moldova television channel late on Tuesday.
“Russia is ready to revise gas prices for Moldova especially taking into account that Moldova has been granted a status of an associate member of the Eurasian Economic Union. We have discussed a 25–30% reduction which will be significant for Moldovan consumers,” he said.
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) comprises Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
